Twinkle Khanna: I want my kids to be as grounded as possible

Star kids getting snapped by photographers and their popularity on social media isn’t uncommon. The latest names to join the list are Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s kids, Aarav and Nitara. The two have of late been under constant media lens. When asked about the same, Twinkle, in an interview to a daily, said, “We are very protective about our kids (Aarav and Nitara), so very rarely do we post any picture of them. But I feel they are more equipped to handle this than we were and we are. Still, one thing that I do get worried about is their security because then they are recognisable to any layperson. So, unless you surround your children with bodyguards, you are taking a risk but you can’t even raise them in that environment. I don’t think I want to. I want them to be as grounded as possible.”
She further added that Aarav often takes a cycle to a bookstall. “The paparazzo making them recognisable is a hindrance to the sort of grounded upbringing that I would have liked to raise my kids in… If we wanted this [topic] to travel further, then we would have to use cinema,” she added.
On work front, she is debuting as a producer for ‘Padman’, which stars her better half, Akshay Kumar, alongside actresses Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
