Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus Padmaavat is all set to hit theaters after being embroiled in controversy. But it’s not just fringe groups and others who are upset over the film, now the exhibitors and distributors are worrying over security issues surrounding it, too. As per reports, they have written to the Home ministry to ask for enough security to be present outside theaters that are showing the film. The association also is said to have told the theaters to only show the film once security measure are in place.

Lead actor of Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh took to Twitter to clarify the fact the film is not distorting history. He wrote on Twitter, ” Our humble tribute to the valor, legacy and courage of the Rajputs, Padmaavat releases in 2 days.”

On Tuesday, actress Deepika Padukone visited Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai to pray for the film’s peaceful release. Dressed in a white suit, she was seen making her way to the temple amid high security.
