Comedy actor Shreyas Talpade who has been married to Deepti for over 14 years, welcomed their first child, on May 4. The couple who have been longing for a child were blessed with a daughter via surrogacy. The news broke while they was vacationing in Honk Kong and rushed back ASAP to welcome their bundle of joy. The baby was expected on May 10 and 12, hence they flew abroad for a quick holiday hoping to be in time for the delivery, as reported by Mumbai Mirror. Shreyas told Mumbai daily, “On the way (to the cruise in Hong Kong), we learnt that the surrogate mother had gone into labour prematurely so we changed our plans and headed back to India the same night.” The couple stormed to the hospital once landed. Shreyas who embraced his fatherhood was overwhelmed with joy. He said, “Seems our little girl has a stubborn streak and didn’t want us to go to Hong Kong without her.” The actor further added that there were certain issues because of which they had to chose surrogacy. But Shreyas calls it one of the best decisions of my life”, as reported by Daily News Analysis (DNA). Happy daddy Shreyas stated that his family thinks their daughter resembles mommy Deepti and not him. He said, “I think she looks more like Deepti with her round face but her features are changing every day.” We’re excited for the couple and wish them happy parenting.
