The police have arrested eight persons in the case but the Bar Association has opposed the action alleging "targeting of minority Dogras". Being angry about the incident on the poor child Priyanka took to Twitter, "How many more children like baby Asifa will be sacrificed at the intersect of religion & politics? How many will more children have to suffer unimaginable crimes before we wake up? I'm disgusted. It's time for swift action. We owe it to Asifa and to humanity." Not only Priyanka but, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, casting director Mukesh Chhabra and many more others expressed their anger on social media and asked for the justice for Aisfa.
