All roads led to Tao Art Gallery on a balmy Wednesday evening for acclaimed artist, Seema Kohli's solo show, ‘What A Body Remembers’. The show was inaugurated by the captivating star couple, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar. Javed Akhtar was in awe of the works and even stood before a painting for over 15 minutes, admiring it and understanding it. The event saw the revered poet – lyricist- writer, address the crowd with an eloquent poem on his famed, ‘Waqt’. “Seema’s works are complex and breathtakingly beautiful and one would need to stand here for hours to decipher it. It’s like the painting was guiding her and not the other way round, it is lovely to see such complex art, that tells stories and engages you and we wish her all the best,” said Javed Akhtar at the event. Shabana Azmi who looked resplendent in her white outfit was all smiles and praises for Seema’s work as well. Art aficionados and owners of the gallery, Kalpana Shah and her daughter, Sanjana Shah we happy with the turn out that included, Bina Aziz, Brinda Miller, Poonam Aggarwal, Samir Mondal, Alfaz Miller, Viveek Sharma and many more.
