As Kamal Haasan navigates through the contours of Tamil Nadu politics, the actor turned politician has said that he can simultaneously juggle his role of a politician and a host of the upcoming show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 2. Haasan spoke to the media after paying respects to the late writer Balakumaran on Monday. The actor responded to a question if he can devote time and attention to both. He said, "Yes I definitely can". This comes three months after Haasan said that he will not be involved in films anymore as he has donned the cap of a full-time politician. Earlier, in an interview to Rahul Kanwal, Managing Editor of India Today, at Harvard University in Boston the actor said, " Except for two films -which are coming out -there will be no more films for me. I think I have done that part. No more signing films. My plunge into politics is final." However, he later clarified and said, "I will continue acting in films. Only after I enter politics full time, I can decide whether I will act in films or not". Haasan launched his party with much fanfare on February 22, 2018. Since then, the actor has been on state wide tour, meeting people and strengthening his party at grassroots level. Makkal Needhi Maiam also hosted an all party meeting to deliberate on the way forward in the Cauvery dispute. Haasan, hosted Season 1 of the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss, which was immensely popular and became a runaway hit. Known for his political overtures, the actor is back at the helm of affairs for Season 2. A short promo released by the makers shows him in a new avatar as he poses question on different perspectives in life and how one perceives them. Bigg Boss 2 will have 15 celebrity participants and is all set to go on floors from third week of June. The process of finalising the contestants is currently underway. It now remains to be seen if neta Kamal Haasan will use the Bigg Boss platform to talk on important issues and the strategies of his party or not.
