Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayata Dutt who is also the producer of his upcoming next 'Prasthanam' released the teaser of the film at an event in Mumbai today. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Ali Faizal, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey in the lead roles. The political drama is the Hindi remake of the 2010 Telugu film of the same name. The film is Helmed by Deva Katta, who also helmed the original Telugu hit. At the launch event, Sanjay said, "I am feeling really happy after making the movie, I want to thank all the fans and media for their constant support. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jackie Dada, we have also performed to a song in the film which I think you all will like. It was a pleasure to work with Manisha again after so many years and Ali is like my son, it was nice working with him." Adding further about the idea of the film he mentioned, " Deva (director) came to me with the subject with was good having a political background and I liked it. 'Sone pe suhagaa' is Farhad who has written the dialogues, even he has penned the title song. It's a dialogue based and a content driven film and he has done a very good job with it" Ali on being a part of Prasthanam, "It was a dream come true, you usually don't get a chance of working with such an ensemble cast. Everyone is an idol for me, I have grown up watching their films. The teaser is of course 'dhamakedaar' but there is also a lot of emotions and drama in it. "To be able to work in your production Baba to be able to work with you has been my honour and all my dream come true so thank you Maanayata for giving the beautiful role and an opportunity of working with the amazing production house. To work with Sanju and Jackie dada feels like coming back home", added Manisha Koirala. Jackie averred, "First of all, thank you! Maanayata for giving me this opportunity and waiting for me, because of the dates problem. Baba told ki mere ko tu hi chahiye and I also wanted to work with Baba. I have worked with Sanju baba after a very long time and it was great fun. I am blessed to be a part of this project". Producer Maanayata Dutt averred, "We struggled with Dada's dates, but we were very adamant that we wanted him. He too made way for us saying ki ye Baba ka production house hai and he was just in and out of his different shoots and there for us. For Manisha, I always her to play this role because the character is such of Saroj who soaks in all the energy around her. Manisha is one of the finest actors in the industry. And, it was great having Ali on board who is very much known for his stint in a popular web series." The film is scheduled to hit the screens on September 20, 2019.
