Ayushmann Khurrana Opens Up About Nepotism

Ayushmann Khurrana is always such a treat to watch on the big screen. His ability to take up interesting roles in Bollywood makes him indispensable as an actor. Whether he’s playing the role of a sperm donor or a blind pianist, he makes sure he does justice to the character.
His determination and hard work have made his recent film projects AndhaDhun, Badhaai Ho and Article 15, quite a success! His latest film’s story plot, Dream Girl, screams entertainment. In the film, Ayushmann plays the role girl named Pooja, who works in a call centre. With his gift of gab and impeccable feminine voice, his alter ego, Pooja, manages to help him make a fortune.
The actor recently opened up about nepotism in an interview with a news portal. After all, it’s one of the popular hot topics discussed in the Indian film industry today. “I think this is the best phase, the best career to be on the list. If you’re talented, you will get your due. Be it as a journalist, an actor, a director. It is beyond the realms of nepotism. Even star kids have their own troubles. But I think this is the best era to be an artist. I guess I was in the right place at the right time.” Come to think of it, his answer seemed quite similar to Kareena’s.
During the interview, he also stressed on how important it is to show up at the right time. He recalled the first time he came to Mumbai. There was a high demand for RJs back then and he grabbed the opportunity. He later moved on to become a VJ.
After Dream Girl, Ayushmann will be starring in a rom-com film, Bala. The film tells the story of a prematurely bald man and how he copes with the situation. The film will also feature Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. Bala is slated to hit the silver screens on November 22 this year.
