The third season of the popular fantasy revenge drama ‘Naagin’ promises to be grander than its previous editions. After Surbhi Jyoti and Anita Hassanandani being finalised to play the two naagins on the upcoming season, we now hear that talented actors like Chetan Hansraj and Rakshanda Khan have been roped in to play pivotal roles on the show. We have learnt that they will play spouses in the third season.
While Rakshanda denied the news, Chetan confirmed the development about him being a part of the show. He said, “I will play a character of a rich business tycoon called Andy. It will be out-an-out negative character, which is a pivotal character in the story, which revolves around his family and his sons.”
Chetan will be seen juggling two shows at a time. He is currently seen as Malla on ‘Mahakali – Anth Hi Aarambh Hai’. Talking about his featuring in a mythological show and fantasy drama simultaneously, the actor says, “Costume dramas are definitely more tiring. It consumes two hours of make-up excluding the 12-hour shooting, which has the cast shoot amid fire, smoke and dust constantly because of the required effects. We have to ride horses and chariots and shoot sword fighting sequences every second day. It can be physically tiring, but that’s the fun of it. I have been exploring the genre since seven years and it’s been amazing. However, now I want to do a contemporary show, which is set in present time dealing with present issues. ‘Naagin 3’ is just that; it’s got the fun of a mythological show and easiness of shooting a regular soap.”
