Salman wants Priyanka Chopra to promote Bharat for this reason

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover will hit the screens on June 5, 2019.

Ever since Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have started promoting Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, never has an interview gone by wherein Salman Khan has not taken a sly dig at Priyanka Chopra for leaving the film to marry Nick Jonas. While sometimes he is seen saying ‘Thank You Priyanka’ for giving Katrina the best role of her career, on other occasions, Salman Khan says that people leave their husbands for a film like Bharat and PeeCee left Bharat for Nick.

That said, in a latest interview, Salman Khan taunted Priyanka Chopra Jonas for leaving the film but he added that since she loved the script so much, she can at least promote the film. During the interview, when Katrina Kaif was speaking about her role, she said, “When he wrote this character originally, I was not there,” and Salman quickly interrupted and quipped, “There was Priyanka Chopra who was trying to…” but Katrina stopped him by saying, “Relax, Relax” and then Salman said, “Thank you, Priyanka.”

But Salman didn’t stop here as he said that since Priyanka loved the script so much, she can at least promote the film. Salman Khan further said, “She is not there in the film but she can help in the promotion of the film because it was, you know, she had also loved the script.” Furthermore, Salman quipped about Priyanka choosing her personal life over her professional and said, “And she (Priyanka Chopra), over Bharat, did choose USA in the nick of time. She has worked hard all her life, okay? And when she got the biggest film of her life, she dumped that film and got married. You know, HATS OFF! Usually, people leave their husbands for films like these.” In Bharat, Salman will be sporting five different looks, including his young Maine Pyar Kiya look and a salt and pepper look and the film chronicles the journey of a man named Bharat from the age of 17 to 60. Bharat stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Disha Oatani and Sunil Grover in lead roles.
