The premier new release of the week, Fox Star Studios & Sajid Nadiadwala’s Diwali extravaganza, Akshay, Bobby, Riteish, Kriti and Rana starrer HOUSEFULL 4, the film embarked on a good 40 percent start and ended up netting 20 crore during the opening day, despite the dull pre-Diwali phase. The film is all set for a bumper week, but the real picture will emerge once the festivities are over.
The other prominent releases of the week, Dinesh Vijen produced Rajkummar- Mouni starrer MADE IN CHINA and Reliance Entertainments’ Tapsee-Bhumi venture SAAND KI AANKH, ended up playing second and third fiddle respectively.
Concluding with Yash Raj Films’ Siddharth Anand directed super hit WAR, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vani Kapoor, the film has netted 296 crore, at the end of the third week and should cross the 300 crore mark, this Diwali.
