Though just two films old, Sara Ali Khan has solidified her place in the industry. The actress was hailed for acting skills right after she did her first film – Kedarnath. Though Sara comes from a filmy family, the actress says that she is not educated in films and is making inroads into Bollywood through her conviction.

In an interview with DNA, the actress said, “To be really honest, I am not educated in films. I don’t know very much. So for me conviction is the only thing. You have to know, why are you doing what you are doing. I didn’t take Kedarnath and Simmba for the same reason. But I knew why I was doing each film.”

She added, “Going forward also, right now I am working with Imtiaz Sir, David Sir. Okay I am doing both the films of different genres as well. So I think there needs to be some form of firm conviction within you. Your heart and soul within you needs to tell you that you want to do. And once you know that, you can rush in life. So one thing that I look for sure is conviction. Either in my role or in my director, or in my script, or in the world there needs to be conviction.”

Sara’s first Kedarnath was able to hit the jackpot as it maintained the balance of being critically acclaimed and minting money at the box office. The film has earned Rs 854 crore in its lifetime.

Sara then featured in Ranveer Singh’s Simmba. The film was a huge success, it earned Rs 400 crore in its lifetime.

Sara will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s next film. She will feature opposite Kartik Aaryan in the film. Sara will also be seen in the remake of Coolie No 1 with Varun Dhawan.
