Karan Johar seems to be having a tough time. After ‘Shuddhhi’, seems like Karan Johar’s ‘Shiddat’, has slowed down after the unfortunate demise of Sridevi. The project is in dilemma for Karan.
According to speculations, the movie was supposedly being shelved. “Shiddat was going to star Sridevi with Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt. It was to be directed by Abhishek Varman who directed 2 States for Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It was going to be Sridevi’s first film with Dharma Production since Gumrah which also starred Sanjay Dutt,” a source shared with a leading portal. However, Karan reportedly averred that the project is rather only on hold.”
Moreover, another source disclosed to a daily, “There are a lot of speculative stories during the rounds about the star cast of Abhishek Verman’s Shiddat but let us clarify, no one has been approached for the film yet. Karan is very sensitive about the Kapoor family and till all the post-death rituals of Sridevi are not completed, he wouldn’t start anything. Also, Karan is not in the country so till he isn’t back, nobody would be approached.”
But as per new reports, ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit is likely to replace the late ‘Hawa Hawaii’ girl Sridevi. Reportedly, since Madhuri is a close friend to KJo and a credible actor to pay Sridevi a tribute, she may become a part of this project.
Well, it’s interesting to note that id Madhuri Dixit comes on board, will we get to see the ‘Khalnayak’ Jodi onscreen again after ages? Or will there be another replacement? likely to replace Sridevi in ‘Shiddat’?
