After flying off to the US with her singer-songwriter beau Nick Jonas last Friday, Priyanka Chopra sprang a surprise, returning to the Bay exactly a week later. Casually dressed in all-white—a pair of distressed denims and a shirt —the actress walked out of the airport, alone, at 3 am, minus that neon-bright smile she usually wears when she’s back home. Looking visibly tired, she fished out a pair of glares after a few minutes and put them on to avoid the flashbulbs. A car soon drove up and whisked her away without the cloakand-dagger run to avoid the paparazzi that had made her last visit with Nick a dramatic one.
A source close to the actress admitted to Mirror that PeeCee hadn’t been expected for at least a couple of weeks. She is scheduled to kick off the shoot of Ali Abbas Zafar’s period drama, Bharat, towards the end of the month.
In fact, early on Friday, pictures of the actress cycling companionably with the Jonas brothers in New York during the Fourth of July celebrations had surfaced on the social media. Twinning in white, Nick and PeeCee who were holding hands, looked like they were all set to make it official, like Nick’s brother Joe and fiancée Sophie Turner.

Buzz is, the actress will bring in her 36th birthday in Greece on July 18 with her boyfriend before she returns to India again to shoot her first Bollywood film in two years after Prakash Jha’s cop drama, Jai Gangaajal.
Bharat reunites her with Salman Khan, a decade after Rumi Jaffrey’s 2008 romcom, God Tussi Great Ho. Spanning a lifetime, it starts in 1947 and ends in the 2000s. Disha Patani who plays a trapeze artiste has already started prepping for her part. Ali commended her for continuing with her rehearsals three days ago when heavy rains had brought the city to a standstill. Perhaps PeeCee doesn’t want to be left lagging behind and has rushed back to get into action. Whatever the reason for her sudden visit, no one’s ready to reveal much, not even mamma Madhu Chopra.
