Pakistani actress Sajal Aly has rejected an offer to perform in Indian movie over the Kashmir issue. The actress refused a film offer from Bollywood in a bid to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Sajal asserted that no Pakistani actor will work in Bollywood movies until it ends the atrocities and human rights violations in IOK. Earlier, Sajal Aly had worked in Indian movie Mom alongside deceased Indian actress Sri Devi.
Pakistani celebrities have supported PEMRA’s ban on the sale and exhibition of Indian movies in Pakistan following India’s abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A. Several celebrities including Sajal Aly have been making repeated calls to end the brutal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces.
Recently Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly, who are engaged and to be married soon, came together for a biscuit commercial. Directed by ace ad filmmaker turned feature director Asim Raza, the commercial shows the real-life couple as husband and wife who share a sweet joke over a pack of cookies. Both look great together, and leave others to fawn over the chemistry they share in the ad.
