Even before the release of Kaala, expectations are mounting for Rajinikanth’s upcoming project with Karthik Subbaraj. The film, which was announced a few weeks ago, soon became a huge sensation among the fans of the Superstar.
Now, the latest rumour suggests that actress Simran will be acting in the upcoming film. According to an entertainment website, Simran has been approached for a role in the film. It is not clear whether she will be playing the lead female role. So far no official announcement has been made by the makers of the film.
In addition to Rajinikanth, the much-loved Vijay Sethupathi is also playing the lead role in the upcoming film. It is speculated that Sethupathi will be the villain in the movie. However, Karthik Subbaraj in a chat with a daily said, “Vijay Sethupathi’s role will be a very important one in the film. However, I cannot reveal if he will be playing the villain character.”
Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the songs for the film, which will be produced by Sun Pictures.
Meanwhile, Rajini’s Kaala is gearing up to release on June 7. On the other hand, his another film, 2.0, which is directed by Shankar is also in the pipeline. It is said that the teaser of 2.0 will be unveiled on the final of IPL 2018.
