Karisma Kapoor was part of the Hum Saath Saath Hai cast, however, unlike Mohnish Behl, the actress did not refuse to go for the hunting expedition with Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam. But then, where was Karisma? So then how did she never find a mention in the infamous blackbuck case that continues to haunt Salman, or for that matter, had until yesterday been a major concern for sister Kareena Kapoor Khan? Well, as per a 1998 Rediff report by VS Srinivasan, at the time of the incident and subsequent arrest of Salman, Karisma was not even in Jodhpur. We bet the actress must be thanking her stars.Karisma and her boyfriend Sandeep Toshniwal were seen at Kareena’s Mumbai residence on Thursday night after the Jodhpur court announced it’s verdict. Saif’s family heaved a sigh of relief, while Salman was sent to the prison. During the hearing, one of the key witnesses failed to recognise Tabu and Sonali. Actress Neelam’s husband Samir Soni was relieved for his wife, however, felt that Salman was singled out.
Salman himself has on many occasions talked about the blackbuck poaching case. While the actor once joked about how his chinkara poaching case had over 300 witnesses, but if on a busy Mumbai street someone killed an elephant they’d fail to find even four people to confess, hinting that he was being framed. There have been theories around the blackbuck poaching case, but none of the actors involved have ever talked about it. With Salman still holed up in the prison, trade pandits in Bollywood are busy estimating the money riding on the actor.
