An upcoming Indian epic biographical film titled ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Actress Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Rani Laxmibai in this film which is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.
Padam Shri awarded star Kangana Ranaut has been shooting for the period drama Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi in Rajasthan.
The looks of the actress from the sets in the form of photos and videos have been out and went viral on the internet and this has increased people’s expectation.
Week earlier, Kangana shot for the cover of a popular fashion magazine and in the behind-the-scenes video, the Queen actress shared the experience of shooting of Manikarnika. She said,“As the name suggests, the film is a warrior story and also the most challenging role of my life. I had to learn combat skills, sword-fighting, horse-riding and I had multiple accidents. I almost lost my life playing this character. This is as tough as it can get.”
Manikarnika is helm by Telugu director Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi (Krish), this movie also stars Ankita Lokhande, Sonu Sood, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta in imporatnt roles.
