At a time when Bollywood celebrities are no more shying away from making their relationship status public, there are a few like Parineeti Chopra who like to keep a low profile when it comes to private life. Though her love story with assistant director Charit Desai makes headlines every now and then, the the 30-year-old has neither denied nor confirmed the link-up rumours. However, the Jabariya Jodi actress has no qualms in talking about heartbreak.
In a interview with a website, Parineeti Chopra opened up on her heartbreak and said that it was the worst time in her life.
The Namastey England actress said, “I have gone through one big heartbreak and I think it’ll be the only one. Honestly, I was a mess. It was the worst time in my life because I had not seen any kind of rejection till then. I needed my family the most.”
However, she calls her heartbreak a blessing in disguise as it made her mature. “But if anything changed in terms of maturity, it’s all because of that. I thank God for giving me that phase early on in my life,” added the actress.
Parineeti has finally put that worst phase behind her, and is now rumoured to be dating Charit Desai. However, the actress once again dodged the question. When asked if she is in love with Charit Desai, Parineeti said, “I like to keep some mystery around it. I don’t like to confirm or deny it.”
On the work front, Parineeti is awaiting the release of Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra. The film based on pakadwa vivaah (forced marriage) is set to hit the screens on August 9.
