Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan mints Rs 55.2 crore in its first weekend in China

Bollywood’s very own Bhaijaan’s film Bajrangi Bhaijaan opened big in China last Friday and fans and audiences couldn’t stop praising it. As the film had its massive opening on day one, it was highly expected that film may beat the records of Aamir Khan’s Dangal that took the box-office by storm in the international markets. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had opened to $ 2.25 million on its day one and after the film’s weekend collections, here’s hoping that this film also performs as good as Dangal. Talking about the first-weekend box-office numbers, Aamir’s Dangal had managed to earn impressive Rs 78.10 crore.

Sharing the figures, a popular trade analyst tweeted, “#BajrangiBhaijaan has fared well in its opening weekend in China [crosses ₹ 55 cr]… While the day-wise data shows an upward trend, it will be interesting to see how it fares on weekdays… Fri $ 2.25 mn Sat $ 3.11 mn Sun $ 3.13 mn Total: $ 8.49 million [₹ 55.22 cr].”

He further added, “Besides multiple releases and holdover titles posing stiff opposition, one must also consider the fact that Bajrangi Bhaijaan arrives in China after 30 months of its release in India, unlike Dangal and Secret Superstar that were released a few months after their release in India,”

It would be interesting to see film’s performance in the coming week. Excited much?
