Salman Khan’s Race 3 is a hit even before its release. Here’s why

It’s that time of the year when Bollywood fans will once again get to see Salman Khan on the big screen. Eid has Bhai-jaan written all over it, and 2018 is no different. Continuing the tradition of releasing his films on the festive occasion of Eid, Salman has once again blocked the auspicious date for Race 3. And his fans can’t keep calm.

If the advance bookings of Remo D’Souza’s directorial venture has already begun in full swing, Bhai fans can’t wait to see their favourite actor return to the big screen with a popular franchise. If Race and Race 2 had Abbas-Mustan stamp all over it, Race 3 is all about Salman Khan.

And that’s what is sending his fans into a tizzy. Despite all the trolling, Salman’s Race 3 is minting money, and that too before the film’s release.

It’s three days to the release of his big-budget Race 3, and the action thriller has already broken a few records it seems. Race 3 has managed to beat Aamir Khan’s Dangal to become the film to fetch the highest satellite deal for a Bollywood film ever. According to a report in DNA, Race 3 has bagged a deal amounting to Rs 130 crore for its satellite rights. Yes, you read it right.

Buzz has it that Salman’s much-anticipated film has already recovered its complete production cost with this deal. And why not? Race 3 is one of the most-anticipated films of 2018. If Bhai fans are lapping up every new song, trailer and tits bits about the upcoming films, others can’t wait to see Salman in a grey character for the very first time.

Such has been the craze around Salman’s Race 3 that the advance booking has stirred up a storm in UAE and India. Race 3 will release in UAE on June 14, a day before its India release, and reports suggest that pre-booking counters opened to an amazing response. And advance bookings in India too echo the same sentiment.

Going by the advance booking, Race 3 is expected to break several records, including the biggest opener of 2018 and biggest opening weekend grosser. Because, Salman Khan.

It’s no secret that Salman can carry off a hardcore action film all by himself, a film that is devoid of logic and a script, and still manage to entertain his audience. Tiger Zinda Hai raced to the Rs 300-crore club without much fuss. And the same is expected of Race 3. In fact, Bhai fans are of the opinion that Race 3 will beat Tiger Zinda Hai at the box office.

Going by the money that it has earned even before its release, this doesn’t look like a far-fetched reality.
