Kapil Sharma and Navjot Singh Sidhu

Kapil Sharma reacts to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s exit from The Kapil Sharma Show; #BoycottKapilSharma trends on Twitter

Ace comedian Kapil Sharma’s latest comment on Navjot Singh Sidhu has landed him in trouble. The host of The Kapil Sharma Show is currently trending on social media for his latest statement where he has spoken in Navjot Singh Sidhu’s defence. He has stated that banning someone is not the solution. This has not gone down well with many and internet users are now trending #BoycottKapilSharma on Twitter.
The ‘Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon’ actor, while interacting with the media, reacted to the recent controversy surrounding Navjot Singh Sidhu’s ouster from The Kapil Sharma Show. He said, “These are very petty things, or can also be part of a propaganda. I feel banning someone or sacking Navjot Singh Sidhu from the show is not the solution. If removing Sidhuji would have been a permanent solution then he would have himself walked out of the show. We need to look for a permanent solution.”

This statement has irked many people who are now insisting Kapil Sharma should be boycotted and have started the trend #boycottkapilsharma.

Former cricketer and one of the cast members of TKSS, Sidhu had recently sparked controversy with his pro-Pakistan remarks after the recent Pulwama terror attack. Sidhu had stated, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished.”
His comment has upset many who demanded his ouster from The Kapil Sharma Show. Later, the channel, on which TKSS is aired, released a promo welcoming Archana Puran Singh on board in place of Sidhu.
