We hear that the legendary actor Al Pacino will be seen in Dhanush’s next Tamil outing. The film will be produced under Dhanush’s banner, Wunderbar Films. Dhanush might consider Karthik Subbaraj who has also directed Jigarthanda in the past to direct this dream film of his. The makers were looking at casting a senior Hollywood actor for this role alongside Dhanush and they met quite a few renowned names. Finally, Al Pacino was brought on board. The makers are looking out for a young girl to be cast opposite Dhanush. They have been approaching names from the South as well as the Hindi film fraternity. But no one has been finalised so far. The film is still in its planning stage and not much is known. However, we hear that a huge portion of the film will be shot in New York. Apparently, Al Pacino might also fly down to India to shoot some parts of the film.
The multi talented Dhanush is an actor, producer, director, writer, lyricist, screenwriter, and also a playback singer. He is known mostly for his work in Tamil cinema. His music video Kolaveri di has been a rage on the internet. He made his debut in Hindi films with Raanjhanaa in 2013, after which he also appeared in Shamitabh alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Dhanush made his debut with Thulluvadho Ilamai, in 2002. It was a coming-of-age film directed by his father, Kasthuri Raja. Dhanush is married to Aishwarya, the legendary superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter.
Al Pacino needs no introduction. He is a popular American actor and filmmaker with a career spanning over five decades, during which time he has received numerous accolades and honours both competitive and honorary. He has starred in well acclaimed films like the Godfather series directed by Francis Ford Coppola, Scarface directed by Brian De Palma and Donnie Brasco directed by Mike Newell apart from many other films that made a mark and stand out as classics.
