Taapsee Pannu not keen on starring opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui, turns down the offer

As per latest reports, well-known beauty Taapsee Pannu will shortly be witnessed in a short movie named Nitishastra.

An elated Pannu said that she loves telling tales and being a part of a few great tales turned her say “yes” to Nitishastra.

Together with her first appearance from the short movie, Taapsee tweeted, “For the love of telling and being a part of some great stories, here is my first ever attempt to be a part of a short film. All because of this man whose vision and story made me say ‘yes’ to it instantly, Congratulations Kapil Verma. ‘Nitishastra’ Out for you all to see on. June 4, 2018.”

Helmed by Kapil Verma, the movie will be a family drama that is presented by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films — a digital platform.

Mr. Kapil also expressed gratitude or show appreciation towards Taapsee for accepting his film offer.

“It started as an idea that turned into a story and was supported by some great talents. Thanks Taapsee for that instant ‘Yes’. Introducing the first look of our short film ‘Nitishastra’. A Family drama co-starring Vicky Arora and Aishwariya Sonar,” Mr. Verma write in his tweet.

This is the first time Taapsee will feature in a short film. She currently awaits the release of her upcoming feature film Soorma on June 29.

In addition, Taapsee also has three more movies in her kitty that comprise Tadka, Mulq and Manmarziyan.

As per reports, casting director Honey Trehan, who has already showcased his talents in flicks such as Raees, Omkara and Talvar, is ready to put on director’s cap with a suspenseful story featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

But, Honey Trehan is looking for the female lead for his flick.

The reports said that he had called up Taapsee Pannu for the role.

As per a source, “Honey and Taapsee were in talks for the murder mystery, but the actress didn’t like the project. Apparently, she wasn’t too keen on being paired with Nawaz in the film, hence she refused the offer.”

Earlier this year, he was supposed to enter direction with Sapna Didi, a criminal flick featuring Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan.

Honey and Vishal Bhardwaj were best pals and the later turned producer, as well. However, the two had a spat, after which Vishal made his mind to direct the movie himself.
