Earlier, we had reported that the Telugu remake of Queen titled Queen Once Again starring Tamannaah in the lead role has been put on hold. National award-winning director Neelakantha who worked on the film walked out of the project citing creative differences with Tamannaah.

According to the latest report, Awe director Prasanth Varma has been chosen to direct the Telugu remake. A huge chunk of the film was shot in Amsterdam by Neelakanta and Prasanth will be completing the rest of the film.

Prasanth has already started working on the project and he even celebrated his birthday on the sets of Queen Once Again with actress Tamannaah and the rest of the cast and crew.

After Neelakanta opted out of the flick, the makers were considering Ramesh Aravind who is currently helming the Tamil and Kannada version of Queen to direct the Telugu film.

However, Ramesh’s schedule was jam-packed and it was reported that he could take over the film only after wrapping the Tamil and Kannada version.

While Kajal Aggarwal plays the lead role in Tamil version Paris Paris, Manjima Mohan and Parul Yadav will be seen in Malayalam (titled Zam Zam) and Kannada (titled Butterfly) version of the Bollywood film.
