Actress Hina Khan gained popularity as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She played the ideal bahu for eight long years and then won hearts when she recreated Urvashi Dholakia’s beloved character, Komolika in Ekta Kapoor’s remake of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Hina also walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film festival where the first look of her debut movie, Lines, was released. Following this, Hina signed for Vikram Bhatt’s directorial titled, Hacked, where she will play the role of an editor of a fashion magazine. And it looks like, there’s no stopping this diva! According to her Instagram, Hina Khan has signed another movie, The Country of The Blind, which will be her first Indo-Hollywood project. Hina will play the role of a visually impaired girl called, Gosha.
The actress shared BTS pictures from her shoot where she can be seen in a tribal avatar. She wrote, “Meet “Gosha” My first Indo-Hollywood project, Directed by our very own and talented @rahatkazmi #CountryOfBlind”
In a recent interview with an entertainment website, the actress spoke about this upcoming project and the steps she took in order to prepare for the role. “It’s been a great learning experience. Eyes are our window to the world, but I also feel that when God takes away something, he blesses you with many other things. These individuals are capable of achieving so much more than others,” Hina Khan said.
The actress also spoke about the fact that she is looking forward to expanding her career by undertaking roles, which are off-beat and non-commercial. She said that such roles give her a chance to explore without depending on a big break opposite a known Bollywood actor. “Most girls, who want to become film actresses, look for roles in commercial movies. But every actress can’t wait forever to land a role opposite a big Bollywood actor. Also, I think that it’s important to be part of a film that has scope for you to perform. That is the reason I chose to debut with Lines, and now, I’m doing The Country of The Blind,” she said.
