Isha Koppikar returns to Tamil cinema after 17 years

When she made her debut in Tamil with Prashanth’s Kadhal Kavithai, many instantly became her fans. She then went onto steal more hearts in Arvind Swami’s film En Swasa Katre. Both the film failed at the box office, but she stayed with the audience.

Isha Koppikar, the Mumbai-born actress, who acted in a handful of Tamil films in the late 90s, is back in K’town.

She was last seen in Vijayakanth’s Narasimha, which also bombed at the box office. Though she has been acting in Bollywood, Isha was not seen in Tamil for a long time.

Now, after 17 years, Isha is all set to act in Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film.

The film will be directed by Ravi Kumar, who is known for his sci-fi film Netru Indru Naalai.

The sci-fi film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Karunakaran, Banu Priya and Yogi Babu.

Academy Award winner AR Rahman is composing the song for the film, which is bankrolled by RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios.
