Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, must be on cloud nine with the performance of his recently-released film Kaala. The film, directed by Pa Ranjith spoke about the importance of land laws and inequality.

According to reports, Kaala has set the weekend box office collections on fire. The latest update suggests that the film has marched into the Rs 100-crore club (worldwide collection) within four days of its release.

Trade analysts reveal that the positive word of mouth has helped Kaala during the weekends. In Chennai, the film has collected over Rs 6.64 crore in four days. In addition, the film is going strong in the US and Australia as well.

Even before the film’s release, Kaala has already done great business by raking in Rs 230 crore with satellite and music rights.

The political-drama also stars Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Anjali Patil and Eswari Rao in pivotal roles.
