Star attraction in many Twenty20 leagues across the globe, Mitchell Johnson has pulled out of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018. Johnson was picked up by Karachi Kings that is being led by Shahid Afridi. Johnson has cited personal reason for his unavailability. He noticed about this development via his Twitter handle.
His tweet read, “Yes I am making myself unavailable this PSL 3 for personal reasons & also for me to schedule myself the way I feel works best for me this year for 20/20 tournaments. These are the only reasons for me not playing. I wish KK the best for the season.”
Playing for Perth Scorchers in ongoing Big Bash League 2018, Johnson has the joint second-highest wicket taker for them. He has taken seven wickets in as many matches.
However, Johnson will be available to play in the Indian Premier League 2018. His base price is set at INR 2 crore for the upcoming IPL player auctions. The third season of PSL will commence on February 22 in Dubai.
