Has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan starrer been shelved?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have always impressed the audiences with their off-screen appearances. The couple is often snapped hand in hand at various parties and events. Abhi and Aish have also appeared on screen in films like Guru and Raavan. The entertainment media was sent into a state of frenzy when a few months back reports revealed that Aish and Abhishek will be working together in a film, but seems like their fans will have to wait longer than they expected.

A source told a leading daily that, “Abhi-Ash were in talks for a film with Shailesh R Singh. While Abhi was already on board, discussions were on with Ash and her team for the same. The real-life couple would’ve reunited on screen after eight long years. But the movie has supposedly been put on the back burner. In fact, the project has been pushed ahead indefinitely.” The duo would have been seen in the avatar of top cops who are also a couple.

The source went on to spill the beans on the reason for the delay saying, “Ash is choosy about her projects. She had some issues with the script and wanted a few changes, which had not happened. Meanwhile, she signed another film (the remake of Raat Aur Din). Abhishek also took up a few movies. Since the whole idea was to get Abhi and Ash together on screen, once she backed out, he too found the whole thing pointless. There were budget issues as well.” As long as the couple has a good amount of films in their kitty, we’re not cribbing. Though it would have been great to watch them romance again on-screen.
